Images of Volunteering exhibition opens.

Come along and view the various images of volunteering in South Dublin County as presented in digital format in the Big Picture. The exhibition will run for a week and winners will be announced on Thursday 24th Sept at a special ceremony in County Hall.

Giving Blood is a real demonstration of citizenship. The Blood Bank will be in Chamber Square, Tallaght during this day. Please note, this is an appointment only service. Garda Reserve Recruitment Campaign

Interested in volunteering with the Garda Reserve. Members of the Gardai and the Reserve will be in the Square, Tallaght to talk about the reserve and give practical advice on how to apply.

South Dublin County Volunteer Centre outreach sessions

The volunteer centre staff will be in both Tallaght and Clondalkin Libraries on Wednesday to give people information and advice on how to get involved in Volunteering

Tallaght Youth Information Centre will be in Tallaght Library to give people more information about their services and details of the various volunteering opportunities available within the county.

Meet the politicians night.

Organised by Active Citizens Together (ACT), South Dublin Community Platform and CPLN Partnership, this event invites community groups and the general public to meet their local policitians. A round table conversation will ensue on identifying local issues and look at how we can all work together to address the issues that are facing us as a community in South Dublin County.

Celebration of Volunteering in South Dublin

South Dublin County Council and County Development Board are hosting an event to recognise the valuable contribution made by volunteers to South Dublin County. A particular tribute will be paid to those volunteering in GAA clubs throughout the county as an acknowledgement of 125 years of the GAA.

A presentation will also be made to our images of volunteering winners!

The National Day of Volunteering sees various once off volunteer projects happening in South Dublin County. From clean-ups to bowling trips, from painting projects to trips to the museum - companies across the county are demonstrating their commitment to their local communities by giving something back and volunteering with community groups for a day.
