Next week is the European Week for Waste Reduction 2010.
On next Wednesday 24th November at 2.00pm in the offices of the SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY VOLUNTEER CENTRE, an Taisce (the national trust of ireland) are inviting all our registered volunteers to a free presentation on how to reduce your food and household waste.
At the presentation you will hear about food waste in Ireland - imagine one third of all the food we buy gets thrown out at a cost of approximately €800 per year!
The presentation will also give some tips about home composting and alternative household cleaning products like vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and lemons.
We would be delighted for you to attend but we need you to please RSVP by close of business on Friday 19th November as we need to ensure we have large enough numbers to proceed.
