Images of Volunteering Winners

As part of Active Citizenship week 2009, South Dublin County Volunteer Centre ran an images of volunteering competition.

We had a huge response from local groups with over 200 photos submitted. The judges had a really difficult time coming up with winners but below are the photos that caught our eye the most and gives a great flavour of the volunteering happening in South Dublin County.

They include:

  • Volunteering in the coffee bar in Tallaght hospital with an unusual customer
  • Corporate Volunteering - Wyeth Staff working with a student from a local school
  • Ben - volunteering for Bark in the Park in Tymon park for the Irish Blue Cross. Ben and his owner raised 100 euro for Irish Blue Cross
  • Kalen and Maise - two good friends volunteering with Friends of the Elderly
  • Girl Guide Leaders from Lucan Girl Guides doing their stuff
  • Maeve Connolly from St. Michaels House, Templogue volunteering with the DSPCA
